Escalation

Need tighter control? Block buyers from checking out, set upper and lower order values, or/and escalate draft orders to super users.

Escalation

Escalation allows orders to be blocked from checkout and passed to a higher-level buyer for authorisation.

Escalation can be triggered by various events.

The simplest event is that a buyer has the authority to create an order but not check it out. In this event, the order is escalated to a higher-level user who has checkout permission. The higher level user receives a notification that an order is held in drafts awaiting authorisation.

Another escalation event is one which is triggered by order values. A buyer can be restricted to both a lower and upper value for a single order. The lower value may be to exceed a minimum carriage charge and the upper value may be for security reasons.

If either value is breached, then the order is held in draft awaiting authorisation and release.

Budgets that trigger escalation and other control events are currently being developed.

As budgets and finance can be complex and confidential, the budgets and triggers will be controlled by a Webmaster from your company.

See our budget and webmaster page in the 'new developments' section.
